Hi there,

I am looking for a small laptop that doesn't cost too much.

I'd say my limit is £600.

I want it as small as possible, as light as possible and have a long lasting battery.

10"-13" screen proffered.

Don't really care about spec tbh along as its higher than 1ghz...

Thanks.

The Aspire 2920 took my eye.

It weighs under 2kg.

Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 - 1.66GHz
2GB DDR2 667MHz
250GB Serial ATA
12.1" Widescreen TFT
Upto 3.5 Hours battery
X3100 gfx
Card Reader/Webcam etc

asus eee is the way forward my freind. For general use its awesome, generates pretty much no heat, practically silent and open source OS so it will constantly be developped.

It only has a 900mhz processor but its not used up on windows junkware

I think i would get annoyed by the small screen - if only they made a 10" version.

I think it would be too hard to do word on something that small.

This is basically what i am looking for but with a 10" screen.

4 Cell will get you a few hours - mine has (had) a 6-cell and it'll do over 4 hours with Vista on Power Save mode. There's also a 9-cell battery which will get you longer still, but it sticks out from the back of the notebook itself and raises the rear up.
