laptop to my philips lcd hd tv

ok how do I CONNECT MY COMPAQ V5115 TO MY Tv.
My tv has a dvi connection and my laptop has a vga out connection......

Is it as simple as getting a vga to dvi cable?

yep just buy the dvi to vga or vice versa adapter. They are about £5 - £15 online

thanks for that ....just connected by the round cable thing and got a picture but the icons on the tv are blured....how do i sharpen them up/

By round cable thing do you mean s-video? S-video will always make the icons look blurred.
