Laptop to PC

Hi,

Wondered if there are any easy ways to link up my laptop to my pc for easy transfer of files etc. Never done this before so would appreciate any help.

I thought a double ended USB cable would logically seem like a way to do it but is this possible? and do they even exist?

The easiest way would be to connect them both to the router and share whatever folders you need to transfer the files.

Personally I'd buy an external hard disk and copy your files/folders on to that, and then onto your PC. It's probably the easiest method, and means you'll have a backup of things incase disaster happens.

Several options but I don't think USB is one of them. You could use a router and CAT5 or wifi, you could just connect the two directly with CAT5 or wifi, an external HDD is a good option as it doubles up as backup, if it's not masses of stuff 4 or 8GB USB memory sticks are pretty cheap.
