I have a DELL Imspirion 3558 Laptop and the hard drive died.
I've replaced the hard drive and I've attempted to reinstall Windows 10, but the laptop keeps turning off at a certain point. The install completes and the machine restarts, after that I get the "Just a moment" screen, then the screen goes black and the laptop turns off.
I've reinstalled several times and used Diskpart to clean the drive. I've also made sure I've got the latest Windows 10 installer, but the laptop always turns off at the exact same spot.
I know my battery is dead, but the laptop works fine on mains power, I've tested it for hours in the BIOS and with an Ubuntu boot and the machine doesn't turn off.
Any suggestions on what I can try?
