Laptop Under Volting..

Well whilst my main rig is in parts I have been on the Laptop and the thing doesn't half get hot.. so spent some time this afternoon on it.. and am pretty pleased with the results:

Unfortunately K10 Stat doesn't work on the multiplier.. so no overclocking :(
 
Very nicely done. Much lower cpu temperatures. I look forward to you measuring battery life :)

Wish I knew enough to undervolt laptops in the bios.
 
well I can't in my BIOS although if you have a newish AMD CPU then K10 should let you play with the voltage.. unfortunately you can change any of the CPU states so you are stuck with the standard clock and step down speeds
 
I was hinting at rewriting the bios to allow undervolting, where unfortunately I have no idea where to start. I'd love to undervolt my netbook (intel, but I don't like changing voltages in software anyway), but think it would be obsolete before I learnt enough to write undervolting into the code.
