I currently have a Dell Inspiron 630m (single core )1.83ghz with 512mb ram and I am wondering if its worth upgrading to either a Dell Inspiron 640m 1.83ghz with 1gb ram or a White Macbook with roughly the same spec, both of which are Dual Core.
Im basically going to be using the laptop for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or Illustrator and Flash at the same time, working on 2d graphics. I was wondering if it was worth sticking with the Inspiron 630m and getting 2gb ram, which will cost around £200, or going for an Inspiron 640m or Macbook which will be around the same e.g £200 once I sell the existing laptop.
Does anyone know if there would be a big performance difference between my existing laptop with 2gb ram or new laptop with dual core and 1gb ram? when using the programs mentioned above?
