I'm currently running an HP 15-ec1001na for all my gaming needs but it's coming up to 5 years old and its starting to struggle, I've enjoyed sitting in my bed and playing but I have access to a TV I could use with a mini/Midi PC.
I have a budget of around £1k and I've seen a few like these that look ok.

Lenovo LOQ | 15 inch Full HD Gaming Laptop | Intel Core i5-12450HX | 24GB RAM | 1TB SSD | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050

Acer Nitro V, Intel Core i5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050

Lenovo ILOQ 15IAX9, Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060

ASUS ROG Strix G16, Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060

Am I likely to see much difference with a mini, Midi PC? It would be nice to sit on my bed still but if its worth the gain I'll sit at a table.

Broadly speaking, if you're familiar with a laptop then I'd stick with it. There's something utilitarian about being able to use it from anywhere. Sitting at a desk can feel too much like work sometimes
