Started itching to upgrade my laptop as using it more than my desktop right now.

A friend wants a laptop for work and Flight Simulator. I'm considering selling him 2.5 year old ROG Strix G15 (G512) with a 2070 mobile for about £400 as it's better than he would get new (1650 for £500+).

I need to justify the upgrade to myself though, what do you think about these options as an upgrade:
- ROG Strix G15 (G513) (15.6") with 2070 (130W) - 1080 300Hz IPS screen for £1,000 (refurb) / £1200 new.
- Acer Predator Helios 300 DDR5 (15.6") with 3070Ti (150W) - 1440p 165Hz IPS screen for £1,400
- Lenovo Legion 5i (15.6") with 3070 (130W) - with 1080p 165Hz screen for £1,100.

Any of these worth it, any other suggestions?

The 4000 series looks way overpriced but I guess this is starting to get in the ball park - just not a fan of MSI - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...-intel-i7-12650h-gaming-laptop-lt-2hg-ms.html

I have the predator Helios 300 in 12700h / 3070ti/32gb ddr5/17.3" model and absolutely love it. The QHD screen, cooling etc all seem spot on to me, the full 150w power available is an absolute plus to me and when plugged into a USB-C PD (100w I believe) port on one of my monitors, charges back up though you can't use turbo mode unless running from a 280w (standard adapter that is included) or higher AC adapter.
If I could find fault, the standard speakers are a little low volume for me but are adequate.

I must admit, this is my favourite option of them all, just wondering whether it's worth the spend.

I think I'll skip this for now - doesn't seem worth th upgrade. Maybe the 4070 laptops will.be cheaper in a couple of years - which seems a better timeframe to upgrade.
