On my laptop I have 139 GB.
I want to upgrade to more about 200GB

How would I do this and can you give me links to some I can get.

Thanks

Bear in mind that a hard disk upgrade will require you to back all your files up and reinstall Windows.

if you just want space for music games work etc buy a portable hard drive! not only useful for this but also useful for back up, traqnsfering data etc.

iif youve got £100 to spend you can buy almost all of the pnes OCUK has to offer, are you planning to spend all of it or is a lower price a good thing? youve also got 2 options, you can get one that is powered by the pc and is therefore more portable ore one which needs mains power but hold more

Well £100 is max but would like it if don't come up to £100.
Maybe one that is powered by usb or something.

also do you have a firewire connection?
What is Firewire connection?

For £100 you could get just about any external hard drive you like.

1Tb (1000Gb) - £92

750Gb - £62

500Gb - £57.50

250Gb - £54 - powered by USB, so no power cables needed

I personally like the looks of that 1Tb drive, but for value, you can't beat that 750Gb HDD.

Thank you.

What is Firewire connection?

Firewire is used like USB I think, but it's about 50% faster on aerage.

This is a firewire port:

If you spend an extra £10, you could get that same 250Gb portable HDD I posted above, but with firewire ports. It may be worth it for the fast transfer, but if you don't have firewire ports, don't bother.

250Gb - £65.50 - Portable, powered by USB or firewire

well it's your choice really, do you want to take it around with you or leave it on a desk? do you really need 1 Tb (1000Gb (probably not))?
