Laptop WLAN / Wifi?

Hi, I'm currently thinking of buying an iPod Touch...

I have a Samsung NC10 11" Netbook + a wireless USB internet dongle..

Would there be anyway to connect the iPod Touch to the internet (by Wifi/wlan) via the USB dongle?

Or, are there any Internet adapters (that accept SIM card or something) that can plug into the bottom of the ipod touch?

I THINK this acts as a wireless modem - able to connect Nintendo DSi, ipod touch, laptop etc - could somebody verify this please?

But I'm not sure how it's powered - would it have to be plugged into the laptop, or does it have it's own standalone power cable?
