laptop woes

Hi. I bought a laptop from Ebay recently, but it has a problem. I think one of the shift keys is stuck because when typing it produces upper case letters by default and then goes to lower case with CAPS lock on. Also, if I try to select a desktop icon, it selects many (rather like if you hold the shift key and do a left click).

What can I do?

The plastic keys themselves are not at fault as I have removed them and it makes no difference. It must be the board underneath.

Is there a way to tell the computer to ignore its own keyboard and use one connected at the ps2 or usb port?

Cheers.

I've looked in the bios (or what I believe to be the bios anyway) and whilst I can tell it to ignore the inbuilt mousepad, I can't find an option to disable the keyboard.
