I have a Samsung series 7 laptop it's about 4 years old now last week it froze and would not turn off so I had to hold the power button to shut down, once I turned it back on it gets stuck at the boot screen with the Samsung logo. I've tried to reset to factory image using f4 however this just takes me to a black screen then the laptop restarts and gets stuck on the boot screen. I've created a bootable USB with windows 10 on it and disabled fast bios mode and set USB as the first boot device, the laptop just loads a black screen when booting from the USB I've tried it in an other laptop to confirm the USB is ok and that was fine. Anyone got any ideas why it won't boot from the USB ? Cheers

How did you make the usb stick?

took me a while to get mine working too a few months back, had an win10 iso and used rufus2 in "GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer" mode iirc.

Pulled the hdd out and connected it to another laptop and ran a few seagate tests on it which all came back ok, which i thought would be the problem.... However Is there a way i can copy over the factory samsung recovery partition from the old hdd to a new one ? cheers
