Hi
This morning my laptop refuses point blank to start. It keeps complaining about missing or corrupt isapnp.sys and ntfs.sys files. Strange, it was working perfect till late last night and it hasn't been moved a millimeter in the night.
I googled it and read it might be a memory problem. I tried running memtest and let it running for 20 mins and it didn't find a single good bit of memory, all errors. I tried another program with a address test and it was the same.
Surely a complete bank of memory can not go bad ?. I'm half expecting something else to be wrong that links to the memory perhaps ?
Is there any other programs to test CPU and chipset ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Is there any way to isolate or replace the fixed memory on a laptop ?
