Hi all,

I am getting top of range laptop from alienware. The thing is i am worried about couple of things, first it comes with Vista 32bit, i hear that vista 32bit does not support 4gb Ram is this true?. I don't think alienware do 64bit version.

Also i am getting Dual 512MB NVidia® GeForce™ Go 7950 GTX - SLI Enabled graphics card but i know vista does not support SLI, When will they?.

Another problem is these graphics card only support Direct X 9 will this be problem do you think?.

Now i was thinking i could always get windows XP but i want to network the laptop with my PC at home and PC at home has vista on it so i was wondering how hard it would be to network the two together. Also i am unsure on how to network myself i think i will use cross over cable to network them.

I have BT internet as my provider and on the ADSL modem it has USB port and Ethernet Port now the USB one i am using for my PC but i was wondering with the Ethernet port i could plug in my laptop and it will work?.

This Laptop is costing me a lot of cash (£2650) so i want it to last me long time.

Thanks,
Evilwood.

I didn't mean to slate people was just thinking they went a bit of topic (my wrong). How long would you say direct x 9 graphics cards will still be around for then?.

I don't really need gaming on move just space on my desk. Thats the problem.
