Laptops slightly bigger then netbooks?

Hey guys,
Looking to get a laptop in the near future. I've had a go on a couple of netbooks and I think they are just a little too small for me. Ideally am looking for a small and light machine, mainly for internet but also would be nice to play some .avi's and maybe dvds on it, basic games such as halflife etc would be a nice bonus, but thats not that important! Not looking to spend a fortune on it, around 500 odd, I've been looking at the ocuk laptops as well as the dell vostros, but am not sure how light they are? they are around 2kg but is that light for a laptop? any help or suggestions would be welcome!

Been looking around the Dell site but can't see any outlet? Is that like B grade stock or something?

The Vostro looks like it could be an option, the 15" doesn't look *that* big and for the price seems to be a really good spec.

ok so I found the dell outlet store, but is it ok to use? Like I said it just looks like a b grade sellout?

Would a vostro be ok for what I need? Am still not sure about it's size or weight? The spec looks good!
