Laptops with 3gig ram (windows vista 32bit)

i know its not worth having 4gig ram unless you have 64bit windows but:

would having 3gig ram instead of 2 gig of ram give windows vista a little boost in general terms (windows navigation ect) ?

processor: core 2 duo (2GHz)
graphics: nvidia 8600m GT256 ram

I dont think i'll get 3.2 as im only getting 3gig ram lol.
but nice to know its better than 2gig ram, even under 32bit vista.
