Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any laptops around that have a builtin dual headed graphics card ?

Its quite rare, i've never seen one.
I can't really think of a scenario where a laptop user nees a further 2 monitors, and neither can the laptop manufacturers it seems.
What do you need two extra monitors on a laptop for?

What you would probably need to use is the Matrox dualhead or triplehead.

i actually want to output laptop to 2 monitors, so i can have a dual display setup. Bascially would like it to be the same as using a normal dual headed graphics card.

Even if you do find a laptop with triple monitor support, you will end up making compromises in order to get it. Go for the matrox dualhead, i think it does what you want. Check on the website that it supports the dual mode you want to use, it may not.

Still can't understand why you want to use a laptop with 2 monitors... if you wanted a dual display setup you should have got a desktop. Laptops are designed to be portable, and because of that you loose certain features such as dual/triple monitor support.

The Dell XPS M1710 has two outputs, one for DVI and one for VGA. Not sure if thats at all what you're looking for, obviously its expensive and not sure if you wanted two of the same, e.g. 2 x DVI. Don't even know if it would support a dual setup either.

Cheaper Dell laptops may have it though.

I am receiving the M1710 tomorrow (silly person for spending that much cash) for my 3-6 month trip to Indonesia.
