Laptops?

I have an old acer aspire that want to make a bit quicker. I dont have the money to but a new laptop and i want to do as much as i can to it but dont know how much i can do. What components can i change in a laptop without having to get a new harddrive?

Laptops arent as easy as a PC, in the only thing you cant really upgrade is the motherboard, but even then you might be able to find a motherboard which is the right size from a higher model in the same series. So RAM and HDD are the easiest thing to change. CPU maybe, Mobo unlikely

About changing the hard drive? what do you mean? you wont need to change the hard drive if you dont want to, however if you change a lot of hardware you windows may ask you to reactivate.
