Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

It isn't the 'proper' new tomb raider game as such, they're currently still working on that due out either end of this year or more likely next year. But they've made an isometric lara game for pc and console.

Yeah, it specifically says puzzle solving. Linear, yes. Fast, yes. Combat.. well we're not talking gears of war here or crysis, it's lara croft.

I still prefer old TR1 and TR2, lot's of puzzles and figuring out your way through the levels.

Tombraider 1 & 2 were awesome. I loved the puzzles (and the way you could nose dive onto concrete from 100ft high ledges!)

Just to reiterate, this is not the latest tomb raider game, it's something completely separate, hence the top down view.
Crystal Dynamics are making two games. This one, and also Tomb Raider 9 which would be the Tomb Raider game follow up to Underworld.

Not sure on the new take - will probably get it anyways.
Here's hoping the next "proper" game will have more of the originals in it - they exploration, puzzles, scale & mysticism that made them great.

Aside - anyone else get flashbacks to Resi Evil 5 whilst watching the trailer?

hmmm, reminds me a lot like diablo. I dunno if the fast pased gameplay would work for it tbh. the last game i played like that (sonic 3d) was horrible to control and gave me a head ache after about an hour. Dont get me wrong, I like isometric games (i cant say how many hours ive put into diablo2), but i feel that this might be a n epic fail!

I was thinking RE5 as well until it zoomed out basically into the earths atmosphere judging by the size of the characters lol. It looks weird but interesting. Looks like a dodgy cross between RE5 and diablo 3
