I'm moving in to a new house, my 55" LG OLED will be downstairs as the TV.

Upstairs in my room I want a new monitor.

I really love the picture quality of the oled but hated the motion blur, 60hz, and 4K being in infancy actually was often more trouble for me. I may well be happy with 1080p for compatibility sake.

I will use this as gaming, music, art, gfx workstation.

What's your opinion some crisp image, decent colour & contrast, smooth gaming monitor/TV? I can't stand bleed and bad blacks. Doesn't have to be oled but needs to be good

And where is a good sweet spot in your opinion for really reduced motion blur? 120? 144? It annoys the hell out of me. I have never experienced any gsync or freesync. I have Nvidia 1080.

Doesn't have to be massive like 55inch but I don't know if I can go to less than 30 anymore. I look at my old dell U30 as tiny!

Are there any 40" options?

Thanks for any help, is this even possible?

Edit* tbh I'd be ok with other resolutions if I can hit high frames.. 2560x1440 is cool, but I'm worried about other resolutions or aspects and game compatibility

As somewho hated blur i am sad to say outside of oled you have to use the ulmb part of the gsync module and lose the sync so you need to hold 120 or 144 all the damm time.

240hz is really low motion blur with the sync part at 1080p 24 or 27 inch soon it might be an option. Ideally the 4k 144hz hdr monitors would be what you would want.

So choose i guess. I took the 240hz route myself so i could have the no blur at around 200fps. 240 is just very hard to hold but so is 144 too.
I want 40" plus.

Do you think I need to just wait till the new HDMI

Cool, thanks for the advice.

I'll have to try some to see if it's enough of an upgrade to warrant a purchase. I like the c6 when showing 120hz mode documentaries etc apart from the distortion and outlines from the interpolation. Whatever that is called, can't remember the name for it
