currently using a 1440p AOC 32" as a primary and a 70" led 4k display as a secondary display.

looking to upgrade my main screen to 4k with a focus on productivity (think lots of static images ) and some gaming on the side

i would love to go 42/48" LG c2 but the thought of sitting using excel for 3/4 hours at a time fills me with dread (burn in worry)

any suggestions on a primary display that will allow me to get a big gain in desktop real estate a quality bump and not have a complete fear of using it every time i open excel up?

the only one i can see that may be even close to being a buy is the Dell 43" Ultrasharp but not too enamoured from a gaming use point of view.

any thoughts?

On the 32in side I'd say M32U if you're on a budget or the new upcoming LG 32GQ950-B which is due any day now. The 43's tend to be VA's so not too hot for gaming if you're sensitive to ghosting.

For a business monitor go with Dell Ultrasharp or similar every time. Sure you're limited to 60 Hz, but is that really a problem? But have you looked at the 32" Dell G3223? 4k, 144 Hz IPS.

Quick thread update went for the Aorus 43fv43u

Love it absolutely cracking for gaming and has taken a bit of getting used to for work but settling in nicely
