I was looking for the Ferrari 2010 F1 Car thread today, then realised all 2010 cars are grouped together in 1 giant thread.

Same with testing.

Same with the "Official" 2010 F1 thread.

This makes finding specific info very time consuming and nearly all F1 posts are contained in a few giant threads which take time to trawl through.

How about we split things down a bit?

I'm happy either way. But I've seen people wanting them to be moved more into a single thread, and others wanting it all split up. No way of making everyone happy though.....

Ah I see. I'll have a word with the other Dons. In the meantime I'll open up a few closed threads.

I keep the opening post updated with the info / pictures, so they are not just within the pages of the thread. There will be one thread per race, as per usual, when the season kicks off.

However I don't mind splitting the launch thread for each team for example, just let me know. I won't do anything until you post back though, so we don't do the same thing :)

edit: Can see a few done already.

You can't split or move posts Duke. Only mods and admins can do that, which is what I'm doing now :)

Yeah was just going to open a new thread with the info / pics from the old thread so the posts could be moved in.

Ta for sorting it. Didn't know 'how mad' to go with these threads in our shiny new section ;)

i already complained about this after a mod closed one of the car launch threads someone made because he wanted everything to be in the same thread rather than multiple ones.

blame your mod :P

Just don't create ones for Campos or USF1 as they probably won't make it to the grid :p

Nooooo large threads are good. As long as you read them daily.

Split threads means you have to post the same things in 5 different places.

im on the fence on this one. Part of me thinks every team deserves there own thread, but a part of me doesnt and thinks it clutters up the Motorsport forum and pushes other threads off the page too soon.

However with the team launch thread, the thread could last the whole season as we talk about upgrades to that teams car? Seems good?

Great decision, we can post updates to individual cars over the season in the correct thread now rather than in some massive one. Thanks Spie.
