Large files won't complete when downloading from our web server

Morning,

Bit of a strange one for me this, and not sure if this is the right forum, but for some reason when downloading a file larger than around 10mb over HTTP from our web server it will get to between 4-8mb and then the browser think's its complete? It obviously isn't as the file size is around 6mb when it should be 10, and so the file is corrupt.

Does anyone know why this might happen? We are running IIS on a Server 2003 based machine, any download around 5mb or less will download as it should in a few seconds. The issue is less noticeable when on the same LAN as the server but still apparent (e.g. will download a 10mb file fine, but only get to about 20-25mb of a 100mb file), but in most situations we would be downloading bits over 2mb ADSL VPN connections.

Edit: Ok, after more testing it appears to download fine if i download using the direct URL (e.g http://myhost/direct/path/to/file.exe) but if i use the link our Wiki gives (DokuWiki) it does the above, the link the Wiki produces is http://myhost/lib/exe/fetch.php?id=downloads&cache=cache&media=path:to:file.exe

Any ideas?
