I was kindly given a torque wrench to undo my back wheel nuts and adjust my chain. However my exhausts get in the way because the sockets are too wide.

Is there any tool out there that will let me still use the torque wrench but go in from an angle so I can get between the exhaust and the nut?

I guess I'd need to get a flatter torque wrench if not.

Cheers.

You just need an extension piece, its just a long straight piece that will throw the torque wrench out past the silencer then you won't hit it

Torque wrench goes on one end of it and your socket on the other

I don't have the angle to extend a bar.

Could you not use a universal joint ?

I can't seem to work out in my head how a universal joint would help, it still wouldn't give me the angle?

I guess the only way would be to buy a massive breaker bar spanner type tool.

Nevermind I'll just have to adjust my chain when I swap out my rear tyre.

you dont loosen nuts with a torque wrench . You also seem to have it beside the nut for the bottom shock bolt :/

There looks to be plenty of room to get in there without an extension or with a long one ..

The wrench position in the pic is just an example of the sort of gap I need to get the wrench socket in. I'll need to tighten that nut with a torque.

There isn't plenty of room, in fact the socket alone doesn't go into the gap.

Doesn't look like there's an inexpensive way to do this considering I already have the wrench so I think I'm going to adjust the chain when I change the rear tyre in a few months. Two birds with one stone and all that.
