Large monitor for gaming.

"Good" is subjective. Provide us with knowledge of your existing display and what you consider good.

You'll probably need SLI/Crossfire to run BF3 at that resolution.

Ok then. I am wondering if it performs well in games i.e, no ghosting or delayed images, stuttering, can keep a good pace with fast moving images.

I am having no problems with my Sony 42" HDTV screen at the moment but i would rather be sitting at a desk when on the PC. However i do want a large monitor.

But know that i now OCUK are getting these beauty's in stock (Samsung S27B970D 27" Widescreen Ultra Thin LED Professional PLS Monitor), i think i will wait.

Well, the 3011 has a fair bit of input lag (20ms+). Being IPS it is also going to be a tad blurry. Both of these are probably on par with whatever TV you currently use, but they wont be better.

That really depends on the TV but the majority will have much higher input lag than any monitor including the relatively slow Dell.
