Well it was ammended in 2002 and includes sections about giving the consumer adequate time to inspect the goods etc. Having done a bit of a search the signing issue is not legal.

More importantly though the goods were damaged because they were improperly packed and therefore that is the sellers responsibility, 2mm thick corrigated card does not protect wood!
 
That claim was from 2005 believe me they will do anything to get out of paying.
Fair enough if the packaging was poor. On that item of mine it was packaged well and it was a top end hp proliant server and they still managed to twist half the framework so must have been dropped from a good height.
 
I can imagine they would, probably put so much red tape round it most people give up, I did make it known to the seller that I believed the problem was his packaging but he insisted on blaming the courier.

And are too long for most couriers, and the ones that will do it wasnt £150+. Although I will get a refund for the shipping (eventually) I can't afford to pay out £150 at this time, so does anyone know anyone I can use to send it back (parcel2go won't take it)
