I have massively outgrown my current tool box and need a new one so am going to treat myself.

What would your choice be, If you had the space -

A tall cabinet or a wide cabinet (72") and why?

This is one I'm looking at or the taller rather than wide. Just not sure what the best option is.

I have two work benches, one is metal one is wood. But it's always handy to have a work bench with your tools in too that you can move around.

I looked at that and thought wow that'd be handy but i couldn't justify £165 quid on just somewhere to put my tools then realised it's £1600! Jeez that seems insane!

I thought that when I looked but you can quickly rationalise. I get a new laptop every 2/3 years at work... probably costs ~£800. By year 3 it is "scrap"/sold for pennies on the wholesale recycling market.

You buy that chest at £1650 and it'll be a £1650 chest for as long as you need it to be...

I have the big Kirkland one from costco very robust and often on sale for 450, if there is a warehouse near you, depending on space I would now go for a wider one rather than taller as I love a horizontal surface to fill with cr.. er stuff and useful items

I guess if its your lively hood it's worth it to have all our tools right there organised so they're right by whatever job your doing in the workshop. It's not like any normal home DIY type person would get one of those i suppose.
