Hi all,

I currently have a triple monitor setup at work (15" laptop with 2x 19" widescreen monitors attached). We are changing all our desks to hot desks so we won't have a set desk to sit at. I'm therefore losing my triple monitor setup :(

I'm therefore looking for a large screen laptop to replace my setup with. I've been looking at the Alienware M18X or the XPS 17, but are there any other alternatives?

Also looked at the Spacebook with its dual 17" screens, but its america only at the moment.

Thanks guys

What is your budget, I assume £1200-£1500?

MX18 weigh a fair bit so not really ideal for carting about.

The spacebook is a joke imo....May as well lug a 13" ultra portable laptop and separate monitor about with you.

How about the samsung 700G7A, you can get it for £1400 unfortunately just not from OcUK http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18364947

The more important question though is, why do you need such a large monitor array? Are you doing design work in CAD / Adobe CS etc? Are you a contractor?

If so, work must provide you with a suitable workstation and a Laptop is not the ideal solution for doing design work on. Dual 19s or a 22 would be better. Just because there will be hot desks should not remove provision of docking facilities such as monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.
