Hey guys.

Had a disaster of networking! Bit stuck in a rut now, can anyone help out?

So, we have 3 computers;
The Family PC (Sony Viao all in one malarky)
My laptop
Step Brothers PC.

We use a Netgear Wireless router to allow all the PCs to connect to the internet.

Yesterday night I was flashing a new firmware onto the device when it crashed, causing the thing to stop working.

I reconnected our old Speedtouch modem to the main PC to grab the flash files; this worked once, then totally stopped connecting to the net.

I connected the modem to my laptop and low and behold it worked! I downloaded all the recovery files, flashed the router, and its back up and running.

I reconnected the router to the Family pc via wired connection... it wouldn't work. Neither the router, nor the PC itself could ping each other. Connected it via wire to my laptop, all fine.

Wireless is working fine.

So basically the problem is; what could be causeing the family pc to NOT want to connect to the internet, through modem or router? (USB and Ethernet respectivly)

I am thinking about just formatting the Family PC anyway, and hopefully that should fix it, but I would prefer to get things working first if possible...

Cheers.
