Larger cases with more room behind the mobo

Hey all,

I'm looking at doing a bit of a PC refresh and it's probably time to retire my antec DF-85 because while it does the job, there's not much room behind the motherboard which makes cable management a massive pain because there just isn't enough room for all the cables if you want to get the side panel on.

I don't care about what the case looks like, it just sits under the desk, so RGB, windows etc don't matter. Looking through the full towers available, there doesn't seem to be any standard options available, everythiing is either a regular case size, or super pricy becasue it's all glass sides or something.

Looking at Midi towers there's more options, though I'm slightly worried about space for storage, I currently have 5 HDDs plus a couple of SSDs, so most of the midi cases can't take that many. The Lian-Li PC-011 seems perfect, except for the lack of HDD bays.

Anyone able to recommend options for this? I'm guessing that just dumping the non-mounted HDDs behind the mobo out of site is not a recommended option!

I found the evolv x to be fab for cable space and hdd / ssd storage options. You may want to consider the similar but cheaper phantecs p600s, since it keeps most of the features with less of the bling.

Could you take the opportunity to rationalise your HDDs, buying one big one? Or punt the HDDs to another box on your LAN?

They're all 3Tb already, so while I could get some 6Tbs, it seems like a bit of a waste. As for a LAN box, I currently only have the one PC, and I figure that it would be cheaper to just buy a larger case with room for the drives rather than having a second PC running in the background.

Thanks for the the suggestions though.
