Currently have a bitfennix prodigy which has swallowed every gpu I’ve thrown at it but today it’s been beaten by a 2080 Zotac amp extreme. Short of getting the angle grinder out are there any larger mitx cases?

I did actually get the angle grinder out. Ok well at least a hacksaw and it’s ‘in’. I do fancy a new case though just can’t be arsed to rebuild and that will be my new case.

I did consider it but it was only on one corner of the case and I used a manual hacksaw with a hoover pipe directly under to suck up metal filings.Haha sounds like you were very determined to fit it in the existing case. But didn't you remove all your components anyway before sawing the case?
Yup it’s a good 2080 and I wanted it ‘in’ but will deffo consider the above case maybe even for me t week when I have some time but I would need a new cpu cooler, which in itself is no bad thing as I want to get the 3900x when it’s out and not sure my existing dark rock pro3 will suffice.

Technically a larger mITX case can be one that also accommodates mATX.
Seeing as you're well past the boundaries of an ITX board in all directions I'd say that an ITX board limitation is irrelevant and if you need a larger case you need a larger case.
Yes I’ve upgraded my pc since it was a 4670k/16/gtx770. But I’ve kept the same case.
I have now ordered the above case and a 280mm aio. I’m happy to stick with the itx format. I have a x470i Asus Gaming board and it doesn’t lose out too much to a larger board. Pc also fits into a cupboard so want to keep that form factor!

Just to let you know that whilst this case is quite a bit smaller in overall volume it’s longer and swallows the Zotac amp extreme 2080 with ease and an even longer card will fit too!Neo G Mini might be able to accommodate it, depending on your fans/radiator requirements:

It will also take a longer psu, another limitation of the bitfennix prodigy. It’s not as well built as the prodigy but has ticked all my boxes so thanks for the recommendation.
Downsides are it only has two ssd slots and the only cpu cooler that fits is an aio (bar an ultra low profile job). Cable management is fantastic compared to the bitfennix (that had none!) but I understand in relation to other cases the neo isn’t considered great for cable manager t.
