Good evening all

Right I have just about 30mins ago been asked to be best man at my mates wedding. This is will be my second time being best man so im not asking for speach advice etc because I have more dirt then I possibly could put into a speach so this time it will be easy I hope.

But my mate loves Las vegas hes been there a few times and always enjoyed it and he wants his stag do there. This is fine with me I have been to the states a few times and love it there but never Las Vegas.

So I'm asking the overclockers forum to overclock my mates stag do :D

Im hoping that some of you may have suggestions on whats the best places are, the do's and donts and any generally advice. The trip is about 7 months time. The stag will be up for anything and enjoys a good laugh.

Cheers in advance.
D

I would do the above tbh
Seriously though the best way to do it is have a day on the strip and nigt in casino....few day in hotel chilling out...day for shopping and then few days sight seeing that's how I usually plan my holidays

Cheers dude thats the sort of thing I already have planned. Was more after if anyone had personal advice of stuff to do and places to go. The sort of places stag party would be interested in or cater to.

Some sort of budget would be helpful, as vegas is one of those places you can go and can be very drunk on £10, or you can send the best part of £500 and still be quite sober. That's per night.

The plan trip is for 4/6 days depending on everyone else. I mean this might change but we are at the early stages. As i have never been I dont know how much everything costs and this is the reason i'm asking. I would think ill be taking 2k with me to cover everything possible. Im not sure if this is to little or just right to cover all the possible out comes (within reason). I dont plan on sending this much but dont like to leave much to chance.

Also I dont need to know costs of flights and hotels my mate already will have this sorted I would think once he has confirmed numbers. He already knows a lot of good places to go on the more touristy side of things but I would like to surprise him with a few choice events, nights. Normal stag events but las vegas style i guess.

Cheers

Well 2k should be more than enough for spends for 4-6 days.

For activity's there are things like

http://www.polepositionraceway.com/vegas/

http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/

There is a indoor sky diving as well

Then Fridays there is the palms pool party. This use to be good a few years back, although i have not been for a few years. Lots of very attractive women, can not be beaten for a stag doo. As I said I don't know what it's like these days.

As for the night our first bar is always Casino Royale, simply for the fact it's $1 per beer, then move on from there.

Wow thanks dude this looks like what I was after.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I've never been to Vegas and not had an indecent story to share - so be careful it's very very easy to have "too much" fun in Vegas... fine for anyone who's single, but not really fair on someone who is due to get married or in a committed relationship (moral code and all that).

However, Vegas is a good laugh and very very easy to lose yourself in. However, some say it may be a bit tacky and cliche now?

Anyway there's loads to do, chopper rides, indoor (and out door) skydiving, trips to the grand canyon (well there was last time I was there, but I was part of a group of skydiving instructors and knew people there), shooting guns, watch motor racing, see the casinos and obviously go gambling, clubs and bars, a ridiculous amount of good looking girls that are easily swayed, lots of buildings to see, soem amazing pools and spas to relax in, some amazing hotels and also just plain sight seeing really!

I've been a couple of times for a long weekend (which for me is more than long enough as it's not my type of place) and always had fun, somehow never ended up broke, so fun is to be had - just make sure you don't get married to one another (which happened to some friends of mine (both male)).

day for shopping

GAY!

Oh and you guys must have really supportive wifes/girlfriends to let you all go for a week to vegas

:p - green with jealousy.

My wife would say no. Not because of the 1000's of cheap hookers that are there but because the place costs a fortune.

It is very expensive. Too expensive for what it is IMO - and it's not the hookers you have to worry about, it's the abundance of gorgeous women (who aren't ladies of the night!)!

OK well if we must:

www.gunstorelv.com - shoot an M16 at Osama

My one piece of advice for Vegas is this:

If you have to look at the price you cant afford it.

Bear that in mind when you offer to buy a girl a drink at XS or the pussycat lounge.

Few words of advise:

Don't go to clubs unless you plan on spunking a load of money, $30 to get in, round of drinks for 3 people, $47 w/o tip in Palm... Which is off strip.

Don't believe the whole "sit and gamble and you get free drinks" it's true, but wont get you drunk, they come around every 45 minutes, if you get a drink, get a strong one. Place to go for pre-game drinks, Bill's Gamblin' Hall - it's just across the road from the Belagio, 2 pitchers of Coors Light for $10, it's rather rank in comparison to better beers, but gets you trashed for nothing.

Big novelty cups of frozen booze = winnar, they cost about $17-22, refills get $6 knocked off, get one and wander around with one. It rocks.

Be warned, American clubs play dire music, everywhere is hip hop\r&b, so make sure you're wasted before you go clubbing. :)

Edit: Also, ride the rollercoaster at New York, New York (also, have a Nathan's hotdog too, they're authentic Coney Island!) - didn't manage to do Stratosphere, but that's meant to be awesome too. :D
