Who would go on these rides then or has anyone been on them!!

I know people that have been to he top of the tower and chickened out!

This one looks scarey as

The second one looks really really boring, tbh.

The only rides that get my juices flowing, are the poorly put-together type found in Asia, or at those dodgy mini-fair's all over the UK. I rode the Caterpillar in Devon once, and nearly lost my leg.

That's scary.

Hahah they're both pretty bad. I went on them two Christmases ago and oddly enough the first one's not too bad. The second one had my stomach gurning a bit.

They're kind of weird though - I just initially prayed that the technology worked after that second passed enjoyed the view. It's weird, the second one was probably better for the fact that you can stare vertically downward - and there's nothing there, not even glass :D

I've been on them all. Loads of us went up there but many bottled out so a few of us had around 5 goes on everything :)

Going back there in 4 weeks!

I've been on the one that shoots you off the sides, didn't have time or money to do the others though would have liked. I'm not afraid of heights but my mate chickened out at the bottom

Was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and did the Big Shot. Didn't do the other two as I couldn't get the other half to go on with me at the same time. Did it at dusk and the view up there is just spectacular.

Did notice that the Stratosphere is at the extreme North End of the strip and the only casinos nearby are Circus Circus which had quite a good indoor coaster and the Sahara which had a very interesting LIM coaster. Massive developments are happening in that part of the strip. It was more interesting at the moment mid strip around Bellagio/Venetian and the south strip Around MGM Grand/Mandalay Bay.

I'd go back tomorrow, but I think the other half just felt it was all a little bit too much and will never go back.

Been on all of them, pretty good. Nothing too shocking or anything.

Can't remember the name, but the one that goes forward and hangs you off the edge. Well, I was wearing a very thin t-shirt and the seat was literally burning me (35+ weather). Painful. :p

Unfortunately, yeah. Boring end really.

The other ride I did in Vegas was the Manhattan Express at NYNY, and that was without a doubt the roughest steel coaster I have ever ridden. I like my coasters, but I would never ride that one again.

Just looked at the developments around the North strip on the web - Echelon, The Plaza and Fountainebleau, will transform that part of the strip in a few years.

when I was 13 I went to Vegas, because of how young I was it was a bit rubbish so the tower ride on top of the stratosphere was one of the best parts of the trip!

I was going to post a picture of the look of abject terror on my face whilst on the ride but then realised that would be a silly idea:p

realllllly fun, especially if you're terrified of heights and masochistic

I was in Vegas last year - went on the one which shoots you up in the air - Big Shot I think. Best thing is you get to go higher up the tower than non-riders :-) (not just due to the ride, but because the rides are accessed from a seperate floor to the viewing deck.)

I've done the Big Shot, X-Scream and the old roller coaster that used to go around the top of the tower. The insanity one wasnt there when I went last.

It's very cool sitting on a theme park ride with helicopters flying around lower then you

i think i just soiled myself :(

whoever came up with that second one has problems

Been on them apart from X-Scream, which after going on Insanity, I didn't feel like!

Big shot was good, actually enjoyed that one

When I went up there, the whole place looks like it is from 1975, not 1995!

I heard the taxi driver say that 2 people got stuck over the ledge when it shutdown suddenly. The operators just laughed at these 2 crying girls who didn't get down for 2 hours. The whole top of that thing seems to be run by "kids on vacation from school"

No way am I going on that stuff!

I was tempted to do it in Vegas but they were closed due to high winds when we visited Stratosphere. We could have gone back another day but Stratosphere isn't the nicest of hotels and we had better things to do with our remaining vacation time.

Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :p
