A mate wants one for some work he's done for me. He's an electrician so will help him with chasing, socket heights etc.

The Bosch GLL2 caught his eye and I've found it for £130 with the Bosch BS-150 Tripod. I'm happy to get this one but before I click buy is there another one i should be looking at?

Within the Bosch range, the GLL2-50 seems to be the more recent one but other than some changes in the specification and range I can't see any major differences?

Thanks

Take a look at the Dewalt DW088K.

AFAIK it has two advantages, the laser is easier to see in daylight & also, because it has a more bevelled lens, it can be set closer to a wall when placed on the ground. The bosch has to be pulled further back to project a line along the ground & then up the wall.

It's a little bit more but well worth it.

Only differrence with Bosch GLL 2-50 it has a range of 50 m with the LR 2 receiver.

Bosch warranty is 3 years if you register within 4 week, otherwise 12 months.

Dewalt is just a 12 month warranty , again with Dewalt you can get a DE0892 reciever to extend the distance to 50 metres.

Both are very good, difficult to decide, have use both in the past, but out of the two, I would have the Bosch due to warranty.

Another one I found good, was the 'Stanley FatMax SCL-D', borrow one last year for a job.

Great thanks.

Ordered the GLL2-50 in the end, only £150 with the BS150 tripod but does 20m rather than 10m without the receiver.

Looking to treat myself to the same one, but with a BM1 wall combined mini tripod mount,as I got a spare camera tripod here I can use. Have a lot of coving to do in the next few weeks.
