laser mouse pads

i just got a saitek cyborg mouse but im having a few problems, it stutters really badly when i move it fast.

i dont have this problem with my mx510, i used to get it with a logitech laser mouse too so i wonder if its my mouse pad.

i have a steelseries steelpad, its a bit worn down but still fine.

any ideas? i tried different dpi's but no help.

hmm, it seems it only does it on DPI's above 800, this mouse says it can do 3200.

i use steelseries icemat and great with lasermouse. no wearing out on this one

is it usb or battery powered?

Steelseries SX is the best I've used though everyone seems to be raving about Roccat stuff, maybe their pads are good too (thats laser based afaik)

ive got a everglide titan and ive had it for 2 years now with my mx revolution and its still as good as the day i got it.

thanks for the suggetions guys, i'll look into them.

its a usb wired mouse, tried a few other surfaces and it still stutters if i go over 800dpi
