I have a Samsung ML1210 laser printer(3 yrs old) which is having problems taking paper from the main feed. I have cleaned the insides as much as possible. But the rollers continue to squeak and arent able to pick up the paper. Is there anything else I can do to fix it, or is it time for a replacement? Any recommendations?

Have you tried cleaning the paper pick up roller itself? most of the time this is the problem that causes the paper pick up failure, just use warm soapy water on a cloth to clean

hope this helps

you shouldnt need too, worked fine on my laser (EPSON C1100)

have you checked for any blockages?

if you have tried everything else, maybe the "buy an new printer" option is your only one

On our old printer the paper pickup rollers were rubber. They had got old and weren't picking up paper very well.

I just got a scalpel and put some lateral scores across them. Worked a treat :D

or if their removable turn them inside out.

basically the rollers should have a rough texture to them, once it goes smooth its replacement time.

Rollers that is, you shouldnt need to replace the printer lol
