I'll be starting a job soon at community centre, they have 2300DL Magicolor colour laser printer.

Noisy and toner cartridge expensive, cost at least £90 per toner and then, drum...! Somehow Magicolor managed to make colour inkjet looks cheaper!

They also have HP 1200n mono laser, it doesn't need drum, cheap to run. We think we may have to replace 2300DL with mono laser printer to keep the running cost down but is there any HP mono printer similar to 1200N with ethernet support?

I'd thoroughly recommend the HP 1320n. Bit older now but cheap and cheerful to run with excellent results. Vista drivers built in to Vista also!

We have about 5 1320 series in our office, they are excellent printers. The n after 1320 means that besides the printer-port and USb port, it also has an ethernet port so you can hook it up to your network directly.

Thanks, I was looking at 1320n printer for £289 but I also saw a HP Colour laser 3600n which uses same black toner as 1320n and cost £233 which was dropped from £485!

Best of both world...hmm?
