Laser Printer

I'm looking for a new laser as my one has finally died.

It could be black, or colour but i'd like network port for ease of connection to the network (altho not essential)

Quality must be good and consumables a reasonable price. Budget = as small as poss!!!

Have a look at dell laser printers? Ive got a 1700N Laser printer only black for about £60 which is what I pay'd mine for, does 1,200DPI at 28ppm has USB parallel and 10/100 Networking with 32mb standard ram but upgradable to 160MB. Cheap refills and drums.
I have got a colour laser printer here aswell which is a minolta one but I payed £100 for that from my mate but they usally sell for £300+.

I got my Dell printer from ebay tho, very good quality

Check your local catalog (the big one) for a samsung laser printer thats about £180 but thats the cheapest colour laser ive seen.

Are Dell's not just rebranded tho?? In which case who makes the "origionals"?

dells are rebranded lexmarks, but slighlty different styling.

Aah ok. I've just found a lexmark C522N colour network laser that has £150 cashback on it, making it less than £200 inc vat which is pretty good i think.

Not sure if i should just go wiht a £50 mono laser tho....

Usally the £50 mono dont have network and usally 14ppm.

Best to shop around

Well trhe network is more for convenience than anything so not essential. 14ppm doesnt worry me either, altho i print quite a lot its only me and my lovely lady who use it and i rarely print lots, it more the odd page, or occasional 40 page document which i can wait a few mins for!
