EVGA GeForce 7800 GS OC 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (256-A8-E506-AX)

Would this be an upgrade i'd notice on my 7600GT??
At 90 sheets it seems good value?

the standard 7800gs is barely faster than a 7600gt so would be a complete waste of money. avoid. :)

get an x1950pro. it's only a few quid more. :D

Sure is, buy one now. I wouldnt get a HIS 1950pro mind you as i purchased one of these rev2 ones and i am currenctly still awaiting a replacement due to artifacting. Mind you it could have been a bad batch of the cards.

A lot of people here have got the HIS and had problems with it, I got mine when it first came out (256MB version) and i've not had a single problem with it. It even ran on my el cheapo 400w PSU with only 15A on the +12v rail

Wait to see if you get the new job and then do a full upgrade to C2D and 8800 *dangles carrot*

Ahem. Otherwise, get the 1950 Pro as everyone else has said.

Yeah, I know it sounds like extra expense, but why not pick up a PCIe board for your processor at the very least, and then you can pick up one of the faster X1950XTs for £111. :)
