Having just bought a pump/res, I now need some bits to complete the loop. looking to order today hopefully.

the pump I have bought is the XSPC 450 pump with integrated res. The seller (in MM) is chucking in a couple meters of UV blue masterclear tube as well for very little.

I just need a rad and CPU block (plus fittings and fluid etc.) AFAIK

the CPU block:realised the cuplex 3 I was looking at had G1/8" fittings, so scrapping that. What block would be good? (around £50 limit)

Radiator: currently looking at the HW labs Black ice GTS-lite 240, will this be sufficient? I am looking to cool a 2500k, and maybe add my 670 later. Fans used initially will be my old Akasa Apaches, but if there is a massive performance (or aesthetic :p) advantage, I might swap out for some GTs

if the black ice isn't suited, the other Rad I was considering was the xspc EX 240. I need something thin, in the hope of it fitting in my case (shinobi, not XL)

Fluid I was going to use is mayhems XT150 UV blue concentrate
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-087-MH as I am lead to believe that this, mixed into deionised water is all I'll need

I've probably missed something out, if so, let me know! and whether all this kit would be a good combo

Thanks very much!

The beauty of watercooling or so Ive found is unlike with air the blocks dont seem to make a huge difference from really expensive to really cheap

for example
http://www.overclock.net/t/749693/review-22-cpu-waterblocks-tested-roundup

best to worse is only 5c difference not enough imo to panic about if all air coolers where within 10% of each other there would be a lot less heatsink questions in oc & c so go for whatever you feel is nicest for the right price.

What does matter however is application, seating correctly and ample amount of raddage, either of those rads will be fine for just your cpu but I wouldnt want to add the 670 in to it as an example in my loop with over 200% more rad space when loading my cards fully my 3770k sees a 10c rise in temps over about an hour when folding, admittedly this is still well within limits but it gives you an idea of how much heat even an efficient gtx670 dumps into a loop when flat out

My suggestion would be if you wanted to add the 670 in find a way to add an additional 240 in there even if it means changing the case

cheers stuie, I'm going to go ahead and get the supreme LTX, mainly as it's cheap, and has some ok reviews.
as you say, by the time I get round to wanting my GPU in the loop, I will most likely have got round to finding a new case I like! the phanteks enthoo primo has my attention, but will wait for price.
Originally my love of smaller cases came from needing to be portable for LANs, but as I have since invested in a competent laptop, I don't need my desktop to be as moveable any more!

Thanks for the advice, I will get a build log up for both my system and my friends when we do them next week or the week after (will be helping him)

Thanks :)
