Hey there
After a load of research and a couple of posts my system that will be built on saturday will be a C2D6300, 2GB Ballistix 5300 (Arrived today) and a 320mb GTS8800. Now the big question is what motherboard, Its either going to be a DS3 (Rev3.3) or a P5B-E / P5B Deluxe. I would like to overclock to about 3GHz, and so many people are sugesting different boards, are all the above boards capable of 450+ FSB? Also i hope i have bought some decent ram, quite a few of you have had good things to say about the Crucial.

Thanks a lot in advance.

hi just purchased the same crucial kit

will be using a e6300 and the abit fatality board , also purchased a new corsair psu

i will be building the whole lot at the weekend

im not sure if i have bought the right memory , but somebody suggestes it was a good kit in the abit thread

fingers crossed :D

Thought i would bump this a little bit, as im buying kit in the morning. Really want to know what settings (RAM Timings) to use to get this combo working at about 3.0ghz, been reading posts about the 4300 / DS3 and thinking that i might be better of with this as i could use the ram at stock speeds with low timings. If anyone could help me out this evening i would be so greatfull.

Thanks.

The Crucial, DS3 and an e6300 should run perfectly. ~3.2Ghz is really easy to get with those three.

And you can set the Crucial to 4-4-4-12 upto ~500mhz.
