Just want to check a couple things

Firstly loop order

Was thinking

res>pump>280>240>gpu>cpu>res

I'd of preferred to have rads in between my blocks, eg 280>gpu>240>cpu, as it just seems more natural, but I've seen a lot of people saying temps will even out throughout the loop so actual order doesnt matter, hence the above, which would be neatest

Secondly fluid/tubing

Does anyone know if there is a gold coloured fluid? or dye? or Tubing even? That I'd be able to use, if not it will be black I guess
In fact I've seen a gold PC Ice fluid (PC being primochill) though only in US so far, anyone know if this is decent fluid or not?
Tubing may even be better as I'd be happier having pure water running through instead of coolant
Another thought could be black tubing with gold anti kink coils, more searching to do :D

If you need more info on build to answer these (first) questions, my build log is here

Many thanks for any help

Order doesn't make any difference with the exception of having a res before the pump to aid with loop filling, otherwise just keep it as neat as possible.

You can get the PrimoChill ICE Gold coolant in the UK as well. It'll work fine with the usual caveat of separation and tube staining issues potentially.

Thanks Jokester, I wonder if you or anyone else would be willing to have a quick look at the intended WC loop positioning and tell me if I'm likely to need any rotary/angle compression fittings? Or if I'll be OK with just the plain straight fittings? Thanks

Edit: sorry parts would be

Rads: Front Phobya G Changer 280
Bottom Phobya G Changer 240
OcUK Extreme H2O GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 [EVGA Superclocked] (I know its a bit cheaper to do it myself but I dont mind paying small premium for OcUK to do their thing)
Pump: OcUK D5 Vario Pump & EK D5 X-Top V2 Value Combo
CPU block: EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock - Nickel Plexi **2011 Compatible**
Res: EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced

Intended loop order would be res>pump>280>240>gpu>cpu>res

Depends on how fat your tubing will be, but I don't think there's anything that stands out there that will cause problems. I usually buy a couple of angles just in case.

a 580 and OCd i5 2500k
Was thinking two rads = more cooling = lower temps = lower rpm necessary on fans = lower noise
Edit: plus if I do decide to go SLi in future it's less messing, system would be good to go still

Rather than start a new thread
How come the OcUK compression fittings are 10/13 yet you have no 10/13 tubing? Its all 10/16, the OD being too big. I'll have to get tubing elsewhere, just seems strange you'd sell a product, your own brand product at that, then not sell compatible tubing

Compression fittings

Tubing options

Or am I missing something???

OK well I've decided to go with with the 7/16 tubing/fittings instead of 3/8, I'll use

Tubing

and

Fittings

With Gold Coolant, on that does anyone know if the Primochill Pure is better than the ICE or vice versa? Or not much in it?

Thanks
