tthanks, order placed and hopefully if everything goes to plan i will have everything tomorrow and can start my overclocking adventure. i may even lap my ninja for better contact.

Thank god you went for the P5B-D

E6300/E6400 best with 965 chipset (e.g. P5B)
E6600/E6700 best with 975 chipset.

^^^^ Fact

So a P5W with the E6400 would not macth as well as with the P5w, and will cost more.

Apparantely not so much any more with bios updates. The extra performance of the 4mb cache 6600 and 6700 are being realised on 965 now as well.

Aye theirs quite a few reviews from people that confirm this, when I get home from work I'll dig the links out from other forums if I remember.

well ive ordered the p5b BUT.. the ram i got isnt going to get here till monday so i have a nice mobo and cpu box to look at for 2 days (being delivered tomorrow) unless anyone near hebburn wants to lend me some ddr2 for the weekend?

the worst part is that i asked the guy to send it special delivery, and if he had, i would have it NOW. as ive just received my graphics card that was posted yesterday. im going to run some benchies with the card in my amd system and compare with my new conroe system when i get it up and running.

cant wait.
