Last PC update was June 2013 and I went down the i5-4670k (Haswell) route with a nvidia GTX 660 2048mb RAM supported by a GA-Z87X-D3H mobo.
That has been sufficient for my gaming needs - in between this, i've upgraded to a 27" 4K Monitor and this is where things started to slow down.
I bought Ghost recon at the weekend and It's at 1920x1200 on LOW settings even that struggles at points dropping down to around 25fps. Figure i'd look into what is needed now to give me a decent perf. boost to it.. with a budget around £600
I'm keen to stick with Intel/Nvidia family.. with that in mind, i did some reading into the new chipset and got rather confused when reading the upgrade recommendations from Haswell - Skylake/Kaby Lake.
So, do i need to do a complete rebuild, new mobo/cpu/ram/gfx (Is it worth it?) or is it a case of just slapping in a new gfx card and hoping for the best? If I was to do this, I'd probably just look at a GTX 1060
