Sorry mate but I'm mere moments away from getting you back:)
Q6600 is on full power again so i should be escaping off the radar of a few would be stompees and adding some more to my list :D
I might even start catching up with Shadow Scotland.

good to have you back - I trust you've now got most of the cider out of your system and were probably quite disappointed that you didn't actually have several quad-core machines anymore :p :D

Unforgiven is properly stomped now:D, next on the list is vent or MGP;)

I've only got one cruncher now, the Q6600, Oh and a borg XP2500 that's only on for a few hours, a couple of days a week.

Is the XP2500 worth it?

Come and have a fight with me in the single crunchers league :D

I might sign the XP2500 over to someone else and join you, after I get the 682 points for the wu it's got now :)
My Q6600 isn't much of a clocker though :( I got 3.2 from my old E6600 with a standard fan
My Quad is only at 2.7Ghz but has 60c temps with a lapped thermalright 120 ultra:confused:

What's the vcore at 2.7ghz?

I lapped mine on Friday and my hottest core dropped by 10c  I had a very uneven IHS with upto 12c of a difference between the hottest and coolest core. They're far more even now.

So I pumped another 0.25v through it for an extra 170mhz :D

Both the spreader and the cooler were very concave, so bad I didn't run it till I had lapped them both.
Intel's TAT reckons between 57 and 62c, speedfan puts them at 45-49c
Vcore is 1.4 in bios but showing as 1.34 in speedfan

B3 or G0? Mine's a B3.

62c's not too bad for 1.34v on air. Not great, but acceptable.

Mine can hit nearly 80c in CoreTemp under water when running Prime at 3.5ghz @1.46v in Windows (1.535v in BIOS).

Atm it's hitting 56c-61c folding, tho that'll go upto ~70c when I close my windows later.

It's a B3 SL9UM. 1.35v on the box but 1.372v on the spec finder page with a core temp of 62.2c
I might try a faster fan and give it some more volts till I get 1.37 in windows.
