Latency and interpolation questions

I've been using a 17" CRT for a few years, and would like to make the move to a TFT.

However, I've read that TFT monitors have some inherent input latency that causes delayed reactions in gaming. Has anyone else experienced this, and is it an issue at all?

Also, is interpolation very noticeable when you run at a non native resolution? I'd like to be able to play games at lower resolutions with reasonable image quality.

To put it simple, yes. Running a Flat panel monitor at anything other than it native res will cause the image to be stretched. It makes everything look blurry! Flat panels have a set amount of pixels, where as CRTs don't so they can use different resolutions without any loss of quality :)

I'm using a 19" tft (1280X1024) and I don't have any signs of input lag. I believe this only appears with really high res screens (such as large widescreen monitors) :)
