Hello All
I recently got onto a 3900x and the world of ram overclocking, getting slightly obsessed about getting the ram latency down towards 60ns (I've settled at a stable 64ish), as I'd read low latency was needed for a good gaming experience.
Then, I read that a modern Intel system with good ram can be below 40ns latency, which is obviously a huge difference.
How much does this really matter though? Benchmarks for gaming generally show the AMD and Intel chips being fairly similar for minimum frame rates.
Is there something that is not really measured well by the minimum frames that is better with much lower latency? Or is it just diminishing returns below a certain point?
Thanks!
