Latest driver for xfi

A new official driver was supposed to be releasied in June (so, today..?) but there is no sign of it. Creative are really dragging their feet and missing deadline after deadline.

why the fuss over openal support i don't know. i've checked the dll version number and it's the same one you get in the 648kb openal installer from openal.org - which also works with the audigy series....:p

Any idea's where you can get the fancy software package download for the XFI xtreme card?

I have the lastest beta drivers from creative but as I got an OEM card I don't get the nice front end programs that I saw in the reviews prior to buying the card..

?? Anyone know where I could download from?

Fanks

According to the admin on the Creative forums, the drivers supposed to be released on the end of June should now appear on Monday or Tuesday.

Wow, pretty unbelievable OEM is a cut down version.

I would only need 2 channel, not EAX, 4 channel...just going to be plugged into a Hi-Fi system, heard that M-Audio (I have a Revo 5.1 in the HTPC) doesn't support hardware mixing so requires CPU processing.

If you read the whole thread that was linked, then you'll read that he had a dell oem version, I don't think that is the same as a standerd oem x-fi, I could be wrong tho

Reading the thread, although the purchaser is a bit thin on detail  it appears that he bought the card from some cheap reseller that has somehow managed to source Dell-specific parts and is selling them as "OEM" (maybe they fell off the back of a lorry...)
