Latest Gen 360 Reliability?

Have many people had the latest hdmi ones go bad yet? My 26 month console has just gone bad so I'll be buying another one in a week or so (warrenty void: DIY dvd-rom fix) when the prices drop, I had no real complaints about the noise of my original one, is noise still an unknown even with the cooler running ones?

Noise is still completely luck of the draw I'm afraid. The Elite I got around Christmas time had a quiter drive but noisier fans than my other 360.

Got an Elite on the European launch last August and it hasn't so much as stuttered and compared to my launch 360 it's much quieter (still not silent by any stretch of the imagination though).

I have a Premium which I bought on Boxing Day last year, it came with a HD port and the new Falcon motherboard.

Hasnt skipped a beat yet.
