Latest Mac advert - best one yet?

Funny, but certainly stretching the truth to varying degrees.

Restarting is just a plain lie, it happens on Windows very, very rarely and on Macs maybe once or twice a year if (un)lucky.

Security may be true, but get yourself Firefox and some common sense when using Windows and there is IMO no real difference. I would never buy a Mac over a PC because I thought it was more secure.

Office at home has been said with gaming and whatnot

I'm happily using both Mac OS X (most of the time) and Windows XP :)

I would argue this point if I wasn't too tired and about to go to bed.

Needless to say if Windows was based on BSD, like OS X, then I would have a lot less work to do. The inherent insecurities of Windows keeps me in a job and pays my mortgage :D
 
I like macs and pcs pretty much equally. They are just tools to me I've happily used both and with no real problems for many years for both graphics and IT. I don't like these ads because they are economical with the truth. While you might argue that's marketing, its really snake oil. Its a bit like some automotive companies (and there's more than one) claimed superior quality and reliability that only exists in the marketing not the reality.

My point is really that the ads are condescending and economical with the truth.

Edit, saying that I still aim on building a gaming rig in the summer :p

I do like the new stuffed advert :p it is so true of machines from the purple shirts.
 
Don't really see the point of the Girl vid... girls like cool people not nerds, and cool people buy Apple products, nerds have PCs that run Windows.
 
No, I think it links in with the money thing. Have you ever wondered how big fat heffers in big corporations have stunning girlfriends? Money!
 
Theres some new mac ads out now, pretty funny!

Only watch the american ones, the UK ones suck!
